Palo Santo (Bursera Graveolens), or "sacred tree" is a tree native to Mexico, on the Yucatan Peninsula south of Peru and Venezuela. It is also found in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Colombia, Honduras, Ecuador, Peru and the Galapagos Islands. The tree belongs to the same family (Burseraceae) as frankincense and myrrh.
Palo Santo oil was used in Incan times for its renowned spiritual cleansing properties, and today Palo Santo oil is sometimes applied to the body (such as the base of the skull or the spine) to enhance relaxation, similar to aromatherapy.

Mode of application:
For aromatherapy: Add 3-4 drops of oil to an aroma diffuser.
Topical Application: Apply 1-2 drops of oil to selected area of skin to soothe irritated skin and provide natural hydration.
For massage: dilute 1-5 drops with carrier oil.
You can inhale from your palms or from a bottle.
For the bath: 2-4 drops.
Palo Santo is now a protected resource because its precious oil was extracted through deforestation over several decades.
